Strings Attached Orchestra
Strings Attached Orchestra provides free classical music instruction and performance opportunities to young people across Thornhill and the Greater Toronto Area who would otherwise lack access to music education. The organization offers violin, viola, cello, and bass lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, removing financial barriers that prevent many children from learning orchestral instruments. Beyond weekly lessons, participants join ensemble groups that rehearse and perform in community venues, developing musicianship while building confidence and social connections. The orchestra serves families facing economic hardship, recent immigrants, and underserved neighbourhoods where arts funding is scarce. By offering high-quality instruction at no cost, Strings Attached Orchestra opens pathways to creative expression and cultural participation for students who might otherwise never experience learning a classical instrument.
