THE TALLIS CHOIR OF TORONTO
The Tallis Choir of Toronto performs sacred choral music from the Renaissance to contemporary periods, drawing singers and audiences from across the Greater Toronto Area. Based in Scarborough, the choir presents concerts throughout the year featuring works by composers such as Palestrina, Bach, and Tallis himself, alongside pieces by modern composers. The group serves both experienced singers and those new to choral music, offering rehearsals that develop musical skills while building community. Through its performances in churches, concert halls, and community spaces, the choir brings classical sacred music to listeners who might not otherwise encounter these works, supporting the broader arts and culture landscape in the region.
