THE TERESA GROUP - CHILD AND FAMILY AID

The Teresa Group provides arts and culture programming that strengthens the wellbeing of vulnerable children and families across Toronto. Through classes in visual arts, music, dance, and drama, the organization helps young people develop creative skills while building confidence and social connections. The Teresa Group works with children experiencing poverty, homelessness, and other hardships, offering free or low-cost access to arts experiences that might otherwise be unavailable to them. By embedding creative practice into community settings, the charity recognizes that artistic engagement can reduce isolation, improve mental health, and create pathways for self-expression during critical developmental years. Staff and volunteers facilitate workshops in schools, shelters, and neighborhood centers, meeting families where they are rather than requiring them to travel to distant venues.
