TORONTO URBAN NATIVE MINISTRY

Toronto Urban Native Ministry provides culturally-grounded support services to Indigenous people living in Toronto and the surrounding region. The organization operates a drop-in centre offering meals, counselling, housing assistance, and employment support while creating spaces where Indigenous individuals can connect with their culture and community. Staff and volunteers work with people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and social isolation, recognizing the distinct barriers that Indigenous Torontonians face. The ministry also facilitates cultural programming, elder gatherings, and youth activities that strengthen cultural identity and belonging. By centring Indigenous voices and ways of knowing, the organization helps individuals address immediate needs while building pathways toward stability and self-determination.
