Urban squash Toronto

Urban Squash Toronto teaches squash to youth from low-income neighbourhoods across Toronto, using the sport as a vehicle for academic achievement and personal development. The organization provides free coaching, court access, and mentorship to students who would otherwise have no opportunity to play. Participants receive one-on-one instruction from qualified coaches, compete in tournaments, and benefit from academic support that helps them stay in school and build confidence. The program pairs athletic training with educational guidance, recognizing that squash alone is not enough. Urban Squash Toronto works with schools and community partners to recruit students, remove barriers to participation, and create pathways to post-secondary education and employment. The organization serves hundreds of young people each year, many of whom become junior coaches and mentor the next generation of players.
