THE YONGE STREET MISSION

The Yonge Street Mission provides shelter, meals, employment support, and health services to people experiencing homelessness and poverty in Toronto. Located on Yonge Street in downtown Toronto, the organization operates a shelter with beds for men, women, and families, runs a daily meal program serving hundreds of people, and offers job training and placement assistance to help individuals find stable work. The Mission also provides mental health counseling, addiction support, and basic medical care to address the interconnected challenges that lead to and sustain homelessness. Through its integrated approach, the organization works to move people toward independence and dignity rather than offering temporary relief alone.
