YORK REGION 4-H ASSOCIATION

York Region 4-H Association operates youth development programs across Markham and surrounding communities, focusing on agriculture, leadership, and life skills. The organization offers hands-on learning opportunities through clubs where young people aged 7 to 21 participate in projects ranging from animal husbandry and crop production to public speaking and community service. Members develop confidence and practical abilities by engaging in competitive shows, workshops, and social events led by trained volunteer leaders. The association connects rural and urban youth to farming practices and environmental stewardship while building friendships and personal growth. As part of the broader 4-H movement, York Region's chapter provides mentorship and educational pathways that help teenagers and children discover their potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
