THE BLACK COALITION FOR AIDS PREVENTION OF METROPOLITAN TORONTO

The Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention of Metropolitan Toronto provides HIV prevention, testing, and support services specifically for Black communities across the Greater Toronto Area. The organization delivers culturally tailored health education, facilitates access to testing and treatment, and offers counseling to people living with HIV. It also works to reduce stigma and discrimination within Black communities by addressing barriers to care that stem from historical trauma, systemic inequality, and medical mistrust. The Coalition recognizes that Black people in Toronto face disproportionate rates of HIV infection and partners with community members, healthcare providers, and other organizations to improve health outcomes and ensure equitable access to prevention and care services.
