CANADIAN FRIENDS OF THE ISRAEL GUIDE DOG CENTER FOR THE BLIND

Canadian Friends of the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind trains and places guide dogs that enable people who are blind or have low vision to live independently. The organization partners with the Israel Guide Dog Center to bring specially trained dogs to Canadian clients, including residents throughout the GTA. Beyond the dog placement itself, the program provides comprehensive training to help handlers and their new guide dogs work together safely in daily life. By removing barriers to mobility and independence, guide dogs allow people with vision loss to navigate their communities with greater confidence and autonomy, whether at home, at work, or in public spaces.
