THE CHILDREN'S AID SOCIETY OF THE REGION OF PEEL
The Children's Aid Society of the Region of Peel protects children and youth from abuse and neglect across Mississauga and the surrounding region. The organization investigates reports of child maltreatment, provides support services to families at risk, and works to keep children safe within their homes whenever possible. When removal is necessary, they arrange foster care and other residential services. The society also offers counseling, parenting programs, and community education to strengthen families and prevent harm. Staff work with schools, hospitals, and local agencies to identify vulnerable children early and connect families with resources they need. Their mandate includes supporting youth in care as they transition to independence and addressing the root causes of family crises through practical assistance and ongoing case management.
