CHILDREN'S HEALTH EDUCATION AND RELIEF INTERNATIONAL CANADA
Children's Health Education and Relief International Canada (CHERIC) provides medical care, health education, and humanitarian relief to vulnerable children in developing countries and Canadian communities. Based in Thornhill, the organization runs mobile clinics, trains local healthcare workers, and delivers emergency medical supplies to regions lacking adequate health infrastructure. CHERIC focuses on preventable diseases, maternal and child health, and health literacy programs that reach underserved populations. The organization partners with local communities to build sustainable health systems rather than providing temporary aid, ensuring children have access to basic medical services and health knowledge needed for long-term wellbeing. Through direct service delivery and capacity building, CHERIC addresses the gap between children who have healthcare access and those who do not, across borders and within the GTA.
