CONCERNED FRIENDS OF ONTARIO CITIZENS IN CARE FACILITIES
Concerned Friends of Ontario Citizens in Care Facilities advocates for the rights and dignity of residents in long-term care homes across Toronto and the province. The organization works to improve conditions in care facilities through advocacy, monitoring, and public education. Members visit residents, investigate complaints, and engage with families and facility staff to address quality-of-life issues including adequate staffing, nutrition, activities, and access to medical care. The charity also campaigns for stronger regulatory standards and increased transparency in how care homes operate. By amplifying resident voices and holding facilities accountable, Concerned Friends seeks to create safer, more respectful environments where seniors and other long-term care residents receive the attention and support they deserve.
