Dedicated Advocacy Resource Support (DARS)

DARS provides advocacy and support services to vulnerable individuals and families in Pickering and the surrounding GTA region. The organization helps clients navigate complex social systems, access housing, employment resources, and government benefits they are entitled to receive. Caseworkers offer one-on-one assistance, connecting people with local services and intervening when bureaucratic barriers prevent access to essential programs. DARS also works with marginalized populations including low-income families, seniors, and people experiencing homelessness to address immediate needs while building long-term stability. By combining direct client support with systems navigation, DARS removes obstacles that keep people trapped in cycles of poverty and instability.
