ECOLOGOS ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATION

Ecologos Environmental Organization works to address food insecurity by connecting people in Toronto and the GTA with locally grown food and sustainable agriculture practices. The organization operates community gardens and urban farms that produce fresh vegetables while teaching residents about food production, nutrition, and environmental stewardship. Ecologos distributes harvested produce to low-income households and community centers, reducing reliance on processed foods and building food independence. Beyond distribution, the organization offers workshops on composting, gardening techniques, and healthy eating to help participants grow their own food year-round. By combining food access with environmental education, Ecologos creates pathways for vulnerable populations to improve their health while participating in green space restoration across the city.
