FAMILY TRANSITION PLACE

Family Transition Place operates a shelter and support program for women and children fleeing domestic violence in Orangeville and surrounding areas. The organization provides safe emergency housing, counseling, legal advocacy, and practical assistance to help residents rebuild their lives after leaving abusive situations. Staff members work with each family to create safety plans, access mental health services, and connect with community resources. The shelter offers both short-term crisis accommodation and longer-term transitional housing as families work toward independence. Family Transition Place also runs community education programs to raise awareness about domestic violence and support survivors in the Greater Toronto Area region.
