Global Peace Network works to reduce conflict and build understanding across communities through dialogue programs, mediation training, and peacebuilding workshops. Operating throughout Toronto and the GTA, the organization brings together people from different backgrounds and beliefs to address tensions before they escalate. They train volunteers and professionals in conflict resolution techniques, facilitate conversations between groups with a history of tension, and develop educational resources about nonviolent communication. Their programs focus on practical skills that help participants recognize bias, listen across differences, and find common ground on divisive issues. By investing in grassroots peacebuilding rather than waiting for crises, Global Peace Network strengthens social cohesion and helps prevent the kinds of conflicts that tear communities apart.
