Green Thumbs Growing Kids

Green Thumbs Growing Kids operates community gardens and food education programs that teach children in Toronto how to grow, harvest, and prepare nutritious food. The organization works with schools and community centers across the GTA to create hands-on learning spaces where young people develop gardening skills while gaining access to fresh produce they can take home. Through seasonal planting, composting workshops, and cooking classes, the charity addresses food insecurity while building environmental awareness and healthy eating habits in underserved neighborhoods. Participants learn where food comes from and how to grow it themselves, fostering independence and connection to nature.
