GTA Faith Alliance

GTA Faith Alliance brings together religious and spiritual communities across the Greater Toronto Area to address local social needs through collaborative action. The organization coordinates volunteers and resources from diverse faith traditions to support vulnerable populations, including people experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, and poverty. By fostering partnerships between congregations and secular service providers, GTA Faith Alliance helps distribute material aid, provide crisis support, and connect individuals with longer-term assistance programs. The alliance operates from the belief that faith communities have both the capacity and responsibility to respond to suffering in their regions. Members work on shared initiatives like food drives, emergency assistance funds, and advocacy for housing and social policy improvements. GTA Faith Alliance operates primarily in Markham and surrounding areas, drawing on the spiritual resources and volunteer networks of participating churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, and other faith organizations to strengthen the social fabric of their communities.
