HOCKEY HELPS THE HOMELESS/HOCKEY AIDE LES SANS-ABRI
Hockey Helps the Homeless operates programs that use ice hockey to support people experiencing homelessness across the Greater Toronto Area. The organization provides access to hockey equipment, ice time, and coaching to individuals living in shelters and transitional housing, creating pathways to physical activity, social connection, and skill development. Beyond the rink, the charity connects participants with job training, mental health services, and housing support to address root causes of homelessness. Based in Richmond Hill, the organization recognizes that sports can build confidence and community while addressing the complex needs of vulnerable populations. Hockey Helps the Homeless serves hundreds of individuals annually through both direct programming and partnerships with shelter operators and social service agencies.
