Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line
Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line operates a phone, text, and chat service providing immediate peer support to LGBTQ+ youth across Ontario. Trained volunteers aged 13 to 29 answer calls and messages from young people dealing with isolation, mental health struggles, coming out concerns, and family conflict. The service is free, confidential, and available seven days a week to anyone under 30 who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. Based in Toronto, the organization recognizes that many young people in the GTA and surrounding regions lack safe spaces to talk openly about their experiences. By offering non-judgmental conversation with peers who understand their lives, the service helps youth feel less alone and connected to others with similar experiences. The line also provides referrals to other support resources and advocacy services when needed.
