Mentor Family Network Organization

Mentor Family Network Organization provides one-on-one mentoring relationships between trained adult volunteers and youth facing economic hardship or family instability in North York and across the greater Toronto area. The organization matches mentors with young people to offer guidance, support, and positive role modeling through regular meetings and activities that build confidence and connection. By creating sustained relationships outside the family unit, Mentor Family Network helps youth develop resilience, improve school engagement, and access opportunities they might not otherwise encounter. The program serves children and teenagers from low-income households, those in foster care, and young people experiencing family transitions. Mentors receive training and ongoing support to navigate these meaningful partnerships, which typically last multiple years and create lasting impacts on participants' educational outcomes and social development.
