ONTARIO ASSOCIATION OF FOOD BANKS

The Ontario Association of Food Banks coordinates a network of food banks across the province to combat food insecurity. The organization works with member food banks in Toronto and throughout Ontario to distribute emergency food assistance to individuals and families facing hunger. Beyond operating food banks directly, the association provides training, resources, and operational support to help member organizations run efficiently. The group also advocates for policy changes to address root causes of food poverty and conducts research on hunger trends in the province. By connecting food banks with donors, volunteers, and community partners, the association strengthens the capacity of local food banks to serve their communities during times of crisis and hardship.
