THE PARTICIPATION HOUSE PROJECT (DURHAM REGION)

The Participation House Project operates residential and day programs for adults with developmental disabilities across Durham Region. The organization provides housing, support services, and community integration activities that enable participants to live as independently as possible while receiving assistance tailored to individual needs. Staff members support residents with daily living skills, employment readiness, and social engagement. The charity also offers respite care for families and operates recreational programs that help participants build relationships and participate in their communities. Based in Whitby, The Participation House Project serves dozens of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, focusing on person-centered approaches that respect individual preferences and capabilities.
