Rahma House
Rahma House operates a shelter and support program for women and children experiencing homelessness in Oakville and the Greater Toronto Area. The organization provides safe emergency housing, meals, counseling, and practical assistance including help accessing employment, education, and permanent housing solutions. Staff and volunteers work with residents to address the underlying causes of homelessness through individualized support plans. Rahma House also offers community programs and outreach services to prevent homelessness before it occurs. The foundation recognizes that women and children facing housing insecurity often have complex needs, including experiences of domestic violence, mental health challenges, and economic hardship. By combining shelter services with wraparound supports, Rahma House helps residents rebuild stability and move toward self-sufficiency.
