RED SHAWL WOMEN'S COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION

Red Shawl Women's Community Organization provides direct support to women experiencing poverty, homelessness, and violence in Mississauga and the GTA. The charity operates programs including emergency shelter, counseling, job training, and access to basic necessities like food and clothing. Red Shawl serves women from all backgrounds, including those fleeing domestic abuse, newcomers to Canada, and individuals facing systemic barriers to employment and housing. Staff and volunteers work to address both immediate survival needs and longer-term pathways toward independence.
