RICHMOND HILL COMMUNITY FOOD BANK

Richmond Hill Community Food Bank distributes food to residents facing food insecurity in Richmond Hill and surrounding areas of the GTA. The organization collects donated groceries and prepared meals from local businesses, farms, and individuals, then provides them to families, seniors, and individuals who cannot afford adequate nutrition. Staff and volunteers sort and pack food items, manage a client intake process, and connect people with additional social services when needed. The food bank operates a mobile distribution program and fixed-location pickup points to reach people across the community. By reducing barriers to accessing nutritious food, Richmond Hill Community Food Bank helps stabilize housing and health outcomes for vulnerable households while building community connection through volunteerism.
