SEDNA WOMEN'S SHELTER & SUPPORT SERVICES INC.

Sedna Women's Shelter & Support Services provides safe housing and wraparound support to women and children fleeing domestic violence in Oshawa and the surrounding Durham Region. The shelter offers emergency refuge, counseling, life skills programming, and help accessing legal services and employment resources. Staff work with residents to develop individualized safety plans and connect them to permanent housing and community supports. Sedna also operates a 24-hour crisis line and delivers public education about abuse prevention. The organization serves women from diverse backgrounds, including those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and systemic barriers to safety and stability.
