The Shoe Project distributes new and gently used shoes to people experiencing homelessness and poverty across Toronto. The organization recognizes that footwear is essential for dignity, health, and access to employment and housing, yet remains inaccessible to many vulnerable individuals. Beyond providing shoes, The Shoe Project offers socks, shoe care supplies, and information about additional social services. Volunteers and donors contribute footwear year-round, ensuring that people in need have functional shoes for winter survival and daily living. The charity operates through community partnerships and direct outreach to shelters, drop-in centers, and street locations throughout the GTA, meeting people where they are and addressing one of the most overlooked basic needs.
