The Shoebox Project for Shelters collects and distributes gift-filled shoeboxes to homeless and at-risk individuals in Toronto shelters during the holiday season. Each box contains personal care items, socks, snacks, and small gifts chosen to provide dignity and comfort to people experiencing homelessness. The organization works with shelter partners across the GTA to identify recipients and ensure gifts reach those who need them most. Volunteers help sort, pack, and deliver hundreds of shoeboxes each year, turning a simple gesture into a meaningful acknowledgment that homeless individuals deserve to be recognized and cared for.
