SUPPORTED TRAINING AND REHABILITATION IN DIVERSE ENVIRONMENTS

Supported Training and Rehabilitation in Diverse Environments (STRIDE) provides vocational training and employment support for adults with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries in Milton and the surrounding GTA. The organization helps participants develop job skills through hands-on training in real workplace settings, including a social enterprise that generates revenue while offering meaningful work experience. STRIDE connects clients with employers willing to provide ongoing support and accommodations, removing barriers that often prevent people with disabilities from entering the workforce. The program emphasizes client choice and independence, allowing participants to build confidence and economic stability while contributing to their communities. Beyond employment preparation, STRIDE offers life skills development and ongoing support to help individuals succeed both at work and in daily living.
