TORONTO RAPE CRISIS CENTRE
The Toronto Rape Crisis Centre provides crisis support and counselling to survivors of sexual violence across Toronto and the GTA. The organization operates a 24-hour crisis line staffed by trained peer support workers who listen and respond to people in immediate distress. Beyond crisis intervention, the centre offers individual and group counselling, legal information, accompaniment to medical appointments and police stations, and practical support to help survivors navigate recovery and access resources. The organization also conducts public education about sexual violence and advocates for systemic change to improve how survivors are treated by health, legal, and social systems. All services are free and available to anyone affected by sexual assault, regardless of when the assault occurred.
