THE ULYSSEAN SOCIETY
The Ulyssean Society helps older adults in Toronto stay engaged and connected through educational programs, social activities, and volunteer opportunities. The organization recognizes that retirement can be isolating and that many seniors have skills and knowledge they want to share. Programs include lectures, discussion groups, travel excursions, and mentorship roles where older adults guide younger people. Members access classes covering everything from technology to history to creative pursuits. The society also coordinates volunteer placements in schools, nonprofits, and community centers where older adults contribute their experience. By fostering intergenerational connection and providing purpose-driven activities, the Ulyssean Society addresses the mental health challenges that can accompany aging while strengthening communities across the GTA.
