WOMANACT

WomanAct provides support and advocacy for women experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of abuse across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. The organization offers crisis counselling, emergency shelter, legal information, and long-term support services to help women rebuild their lives and achieve safety and independence. WomanAct also works to raise awareness about violence against women and trains community members to recognize and respond to abuse. Through direct service delivery and community education, the charity addresses the immediate and ongoing needs of survivors while working toward systemic change in how society responds to gender-based violence.
