Black Health Alliance
Legal name: BLACK HEALTH ALLIANCE
Black Health Alliance provides health education and advocacy focused on addressing disparities in healthcare access and outcomes for Black communities in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. The organization works to increase health literacy, improve cultural competency in medical settings, and remove barriers that prevent Black individuals from receiving equitable care. Through workshops, educational resources, and community partnerships, Black Health Alliance equips people with knowledge about preventive health, chronic disease management, and navigating the healthcare system. The organization also engages with healthcare providers and institutions to build awareness of how systemic racism and implicit bias affect patient care and health outcomes.
