Canadian Organization for Tropical Education and Rainforest Conservation

The Canadian Organization for Tropical Education and Rainforest Conservation works to build understanding of tropical ecosystems and conservation practices through educational programs and field research. Based in Pickering, the organization develops curriculum resources, operates training initiatives, and supports fieldwork that connects Canadian students and educators with rainforest ecology and biodiversity protection. By providing hands-on learning opportunities and scientific knowledge about tropical environments, COTERC addresses the gap between classroom education and real-world conservation challenges.
