CANADIAN PBC SOCIETY
Canadian PBC Society runs educational programs for students with Primary Biliary Cholangitis and their families across Toronto and the GTA. The organization provides age-appropriate learning materials, workshops, and peer support groups that help young people understand their condition and manage school life while dealing with a chronic liver disease. Staff work directly with schools to educate teachers and classmates about PBC, reducing stigma and creating more inclusive environments. The society also connects families with healthcare providers and financial resources to ease the burden of medical expenses. By combining disease education with practical school support, Canadian PBC Society helps affected students stay engaged in their learning and build confidence during treatment.
