Egale Canada

Egale Canada works to improve the safety and wellbeing of LGBTQ2S+ youth through research, education, and advocacy. The organization conducts national surveys on bullying, discrimination, and mental health in schools, publishing findings that inform policy changes in school boards across Ontario and Canada. Egale develops educational resources and professional development programs for teachers and administrators to create more inclusive classrooms. The charity operates the GLBTQInfoLine, providing peer support and referrals to young people navigating identity, relationships, and family acceptance. Through its work in Toronto and nationally, Egale shifts institutional practices in education to ensure LGBTQ2S+ students can learn without fear of harassment or exclusion.
