HALTON INDUSTRY EDUCATION COUNCIL
The Halton Industry Education Council works to bridge the gap between secondary and post-secondary students and local employers in Burlington and the surrounding region. The organization facilitates partnerships between schools and businesses to help young people understand career pathways, develop relevant skills, and secure meaningful work experience. Through mentorship programs, industry tours, guest speakers, and cooperative education placements, the council connects students with professionals across various sectors. The organization supports educators in bringing real-world context into classrooms while helping employers find and develop talent from their own communities. By strengthening these connections between education and industry, the council helps prepare students for successful transitions into the workforce.
