THE LEARNING DISABILITIES ASSOCIATION - DURHAM REGION

The Learning Disabilities Association - Durham Region provides assessment, advocacy, and educational support to children and adults with learning disabilities across Ajax and the broader Durham area. The organization conducts psycho-educational assessments to identify learning differences, connects families with specialized resources, and works with schools to develop appropriate accommodations and strategies. Staff and volunteers offer tutoring, skill-building programs, and peer support groups while helping individuals understand their learning profile and build confidence. The association also trains educators and parents on evidence-based approaches to support learners with dyslexia, ADHD, dyscalculia, and related challenges.
