THE WABIKON FOUNDATION
The Wabikon Foundation provides educational support and mentorship to Indigenous youth across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. The foundation works to increase access to quality education, academic resources, and career guidance for Indigenous students who face systemic barriers in the school system. Through tutoring programs, scholarship opportunities, and connections with mentors in various professions, Wabikon helps young people develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed academically and professionally. The organization recognizes that Indigenous youth often lack representation in higher education and the workforce, and it addresses this gap by creating pathways to post-secondary education and meaningful employment. By combining direct student support with advocacy for systemic change, the foundation works toward closing educational disparities affecting Indigenous communities in the GTA.
